"When the Occupy Movement made headlines this time last year, it made me think about issues like inequality and injustice, the type of society we claim to be as Canadians (as compared to the type of society of society we have become), and what this means for my four children.

Sometimes I would imagine my kids as game pieces making their way around a post-bailout version of Monopoly, where all the properties had been pre-sold to the children of billionaires; or a variation on Snakes and Ladders, where there were 10 snakes for every ladder (the snakes carrying bankers' boxes stuffed with cash). Why would anyone want to play a game that was rigged right from the start?"
